It does a great job of extracting detail from the too-bright and too-dark areas in your photographs, particularly if your camera has a "RAW" image format and you use it. It is good for storing and classifying your photographs, developing them, making slideshows or web pages out of them, uploading them to social websites, geocoding them (recording their location on a map), printing them and having them made into a photobook. You can try before you buy with a 30 day free trial. No, I am not on Adobe's payroll, unfortunately. I just think it is worth a look to anyone who takes a lot of digital photographs.
